# Guidance on Fixing 404 Errors on Tracking Links After Uninstalling 17TRACK

### 1. Why Does the 404 Error Occur?

After enabling redirection, the tracking links are modified to point to your tracking page. When the app is uninstalled:

1. The tracking page no longer exists.
2. The original tracking links become invalid.
3. Clicking the tracking number in an order ultimately returns a 404 error.

### 2. How to Avoid This Issue?

If you are planning to uninstall 17TRACK, we recommend taking the following steps in advance:

1. **Disable redirection at least one week in advance** (17TRACK App → Tracking Page → Replace Shipment Link (Redirection) → Turn off).
This ensures that new orders will no longer use the 17TRACK tracking page links.

2. **Restore tracking page links**

After disabling redirection, you can choose to restore links to the carrier's tracking links or use links from other tracking tools. If you have a large number of orders, click "Restore the tracking page link to the link before redirection" to perform batch restoration.

|| **📌Note:** When disabling this feature, remember to check the box that says "Restore the tracking page link to the link before redirection."

### 3. What If You Have Already Uninstalled the App?

If you have already uninstalled 17TRACK and are encountering 404 errors when clicking on tracking links, you can:

* Manually modify the tracking links to the carrier's tracking links, or
* Reinstall 17TRACK to restore the tracking page.
