Guidance on Fixing 404 Errors on Tracking Links After Uninstalling 17TRACK

Why Does the 404 Error Occur?

After enabling redirection, the tracking links are modified to point to your tracking page. When the app is uninstalled:

  1. The tracking page no longer exists.
  2. The original tracking links become invalid.
  3. Clicking the tracking number in an order ultimately returns a 404 error.

How to Avoid This Issue?

If you are planning to uninstall 17TRACK, we recommend taking the following steps in advance:

  1. Disable redirection at least one week in advance (17TRACK App → Tracking Page → Replace Shipment Link (Redirection) → Turn off).

This ensures that new orders will no longer use the 17TRACK tracking page links.

  1. Restore tracking page links

After disabling redirection, you can choose to restore links to the carrier's tracking links or use links from other tracking tools. If you have a large number of orders, click "Restore the tracking page link to the link before redirection" to perform batch restoration.

📌 Important: When disabling this feature, remember to check the box that says "Restore the tracking page link to the link before redirection."

What If You Have Already Uninstalled the App?

If you have already uninstalled 17TRACK and are encountering 404 errors when clicking on tracking links, you can:

  • Manually modify the tracking links to the carrier's tracking links, or
  • Reinstall 17TRACK to restore the tracking page.
