What is a Top-up Pack and How to Use It?

A Top-up Pack is a paid add-on that provides additional tracking quota. When the quota of your current subscription plan is exhausted, you can purchase a Top-up Pack to acquire extra quota and continue tracking new shipments.

What is a Top-up Pack?

A Top-up Pack is additional, paid tracking quota that you can purchase after the original quota in your current subscription billing cycle has been used up.

📌 Note:This feature is available only for users on paid plans (Basic, Pro, or Premium). It cannot be used with custom plans, during trial periods, or on free plans.The validity period of the Top-up Pack quota is aligned with your current plan's billing cycle. Any unused Top-up Pack quota will expire automatically when your plan renews for a new cycle or if you switch to a new plan.

When Do You Need a Top-up Pack?

When your plan's quota is fully consumed, newly synchronized shipments will fail to track due to "Insufficient Quota." At this point, you can purchase a Top-up Pack to obtain quota and track these affected shipments.

At the top of the Shipments page, the system will display the number of shipments not tracked due to insufficient quota. You can choose to upgrade your plan or purchase a Top-up Pack to resolve this.

How to Purchase a Top-up Pack?

You can purchase a Top-up Pack through either of the following methods:

Quota Reminder Banner: When your remaining plan quota is ≤ 10%, a banner prompting the purchase of a Top-up Pack will appear on the Shipments page. You can choose to "Upgrade Plan" or click "Go and buy" to purchase a Top-up Pack.
Purchase via Billing Page: You can also go to the Billing page at any time and find the "Purchase a Top-up Pack" option to proceed.

How is the Top-up Pack Charged?

The unit price for the Top-up Pack is the same as the unit price of your currently subscribed plan.

For example:

If your current annual plan is priced at $86 for 2400 quotas, the Top-up Pack unit price is $86 ÷ 2400 ≈ $0.036 per quota.
If your current monthly plan is priced at $9 for 200 quotas, the Top-up Pack unit price is $9 ÷ 200 = $0.045 per quota.

Purchase Rules & Limits

Unit Price: Same as your current plan's unit price.
Minimum Purchase Amount: The total price of a single purchase must be ≥ $0.5 (this is the minimum amount required by the Shopify payment platform).
Purchase Quota Limit:

The maximum quota you can purchase in a Top-up Pack is calculated as: Total quota of the next higher-tier plan - Total quota of your current plan.
Example: If your current plan is $9 for 200 quotas, and the next higher-tier plan is $14 for 300 quotas, the Top-up Pack quota you can purchase is 300 - 200 = 100 quotas.
If you have made multiple purchases, the remaining available quota decreases accordingly. For instance, in the example above, if you have already purchased a Top-up Pack of 10 quotas, the remaining available quota for purchase would be 100 - 10 = 90 quotas.
